Dental Crowns
Sometimes known as caps, crowns are designed to restore cracked and broken teeth. This type of restoration covers the tooth entirely. It saves teeth from further damage while restoring a normal appearance to the tooth. Dental crowns take two visits to complete. In the first appointment, our doctor preps the tooth, takes an impression, and inserts a temporary crown. We then send your impression to a lab which fabricates your crown. Two weeks after your crown prep, you will return to our office for insertion of the permanent crown.
Dental Bridges
Bridges are used to replace the gap left by one or more missing teeth. Gaps in the mouth can result in teeth shifting over time and a change in your bite. Like crowns, dental bridges are color matched to your teeth for a natural look. There are different types of bridges, but most rely on the surrounding teeth for support. Crowns can often be used to anchor bridges.
Dental Implants
Another popular restoration option are implants. While crowns and bridges restore tooth visible above the gum line, dental implants replace the root structure of the tooth under the gum. Currently we do not place implants in our office, but we refer patients to trusted oral surgeons for the procedure. Once healed, you can return to our office for the crown which goes onto your implant.
